NATIONAL HIGHWAYS - Road Closure Information
A2 Boughton-under-Blean to Wincheap roadworks
We’ll soon be returning to continue our repairs to the A2 coastbound carriageway between Boughton-under-Blean and Wincheap.
From M2 junction 7 Brenley Corner to A2 Wincheap there will be overnight closures Thursday to Monday on the coastbound carriageway between the hours of 8pm to 6am. There will be daytime lane closures in place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a 50mph speed limit.
There will also be an extended closure of the M2 coastbound carriageway, from junction 5 to the A2 Wincheap junction to allow for bridge repairs.
Overnight closure information:
Thursday 27 February to Monday 3 March,
Thursday 6 March to Sunday 9 March,
Thursday 13 March to Monday 17 March,
Thursday 20 March to Monday 24 March,
Thursday 27 March to Monday 31 March.
Extended overnight closure coastbound M2 junction junction 5 to A2 Wincheap.
Monday 3 March to Friday 7 March .
Access and diversion:
An escort will be provided for properties with direct access to the A2 within the closure, please approach the closure gate at Brenley Corner.
Traffic heading to Wincheap will be diverted from M2 junction 7 (Brenley Corner), A299 Thanet Way, A253, A28 to join the A2 at Wincheap.
Traffic heading to Dover will be diverted from M2 junction 7 (Brenley Corner), A299 Thanet Way and the A256 to rejoin the A2.
Extended closure diversion:
Traffic will be diverted via the A249, M20 to junction 9, join the A28 to rejoin the A2 at Wincheap.
